CORNEAL TOPOGRAPHY

Using a very sophisticated computer and software, we can generate a curvature map that provides essential information about the cornea’s shape and power.

Corneal topography may be indicated in the following situations:

  • early diagnosis of keratoconus and to assist in it’s treatment plan
  • preoperative surgical risk assessment
  • corneal ulcers
  • vision loss due to irregular astigmatism
  • corneal warpage due to contact lens wear
  • pterygium causing irregular astigmatism
  • corneal edema
  • corneal dystrophies
